There are many similarities and differences between our world and the Animal Farm. For example a similarity between both societies would be our government. For our society and theirs, the pigs are the government in Animal Farm. In our society different politicians and parties form the government, just like the Pigs. Also our government systems are the same; Democratic because both groups have a government; the people choose/ animals choose who, in this chase it is the pigs. We also have free committees and programs provided by the government for the people, such as the Universal Health Care Program and the Egg Production Committee.
The difference between both our societies is that they are against the humans. But we're against our selves with in our own species. For example that they are comrades, but with in our specie (humans) we go against our selves and kill each other within our society.
This book some times makes me ask my self or wonder: How come humans have such a hard time getting along with each other? Even though the animals just like us have different groups among them selves, but get along so well. How come we can't?

ReplyDeleteI agree the pigs similar to a government. The way they command the animals to work is somewhat a master commanding the slave to work. I agree that one similarity between our society and theirs is we have committees and they do to. I agree that we are sometimes against ourselves because sometimes in the wars go on where there's conflict between countries or the civilians and the government. Also we have gangs tormenting other people.
How are you sure animals get along with each other? Larger animals feed on and kill their prey. Does that seem like all animals get along with each other?

ReplyDeleteI agree with all your points you added. However, in chapter two it had speciically told that the animals were not supposed to do anything that was a sign of humans. Well, the way they acted doesn't that seem like how humans act. For example in a hierarchy their is the most powerful man at the top and at the bottom are the not useless people. When you think of it this way doesn't it seem like they are living the exact same live as us. If this is all what humans do what did the animals mean when they had declared that no animal was to do anything human like?
I also agree with Elton. How are you sure that all animals get a long. As far as I know, no one really cares about Mollie! Does Mollie get a long with the rest of the animals. Or, Snowbell and Napoleon they never agreed on anything. Think of the similarities and differences this way and you will get way more ideas.
Hi Shahwaiz. I agree with all your thoughts you have included in your similarities and differences between humans and animals. I also think that the pigs are just like our government too because, the pigs are commanding the farm animasls to do work just like, our government. I also like how you shared questions you had.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Elton and Santhoshana that, you don't know if all the animals get a long. Just like the animals that Santhoshana mentioned (Mollie, Snowball, and Napoleon)don't get a long. But, good predictions and, I found your posting for Chapter Three really interesting.
